The shallow reefs along Cozumel are abundant and well populated with ‘critters’. There are so many from Tormentos to Paraiso and beyond (the official map lists 54), that it’s not possible to even begin to show them separately. Ranging in depths from 15 to 50 feet, here are a few of the ‘critters’ you will find scattered around these 54 sites.

From critters 1/4 of an inch long to turtles 4 feet in length, with every size in between,there is no such thing as a boring dive. There are Blennies of all kinds, and juveniles of most species. And don’t forget to search out one of Cozumel’s more elusive treasures - the Cozumel Splendid Toadfish which lives only here.
